BrahMos missile's supply: Indian signs key pact with Philippines for sale of 'defence equipment'

  • India on Tuesday signed a key pact with the Philippines for the sale of "Defence material and equipment", which are likely to include BrahMos  cruise missiles.
  • Philippines Defence Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, who was also present at the pact's signing ceremony in Manila, has repotedly said that his country is buying BrahMos missiles.

India successfully test-fired the air variant of BrahMos missile from a Suhkoi-30MKI fighter jet. with this test the country has completed tests of the cruise missile tried for land, sea and air variants.
